Hey gang. Check out the new site "Great Visualizations". Type in what you want to see in the "search" bar. I found that, although this is a college site, it still has ideas and visuals that are rooted in our class. Kind of cool knowing you could handle some college stuff this early, huh? See you Monday,
Mr C

PS. Jade says Hi to you all. Now, Marshall? Where are you? We miss you too!

International Space Station

If you want to see the ISS from Delaware, check out the site ISS Sightings. It will tell you when and where to look in the sky. It's very cool to see it and know people are up there. It looks like a moving star to me. Very cool and very fast! Check it out!!!

Welcome 8th Graders!

Welcome to our class blog. I hope you find it useful this year. The purpose of the blog is to connect you to links via the internet that can enrich your understanding of what we learned in class. It is also a means of which you can communicate with me outside of class. As the year begins to flow, you will see me refer to the blog often. Please feel free to explore it. You do not need an ID or password to go to the links. You would only need that to leave me a written message. I look forward to the year ahead and hope you'll love the class,

Class of 2014

Hey all,
Thanks for a great year. Although there were times this year in which I was exhausted, short tempered, and lengthy in my lectures, I hope you realize I was only trying to push you to be your best. I want you to always strive to be excellent. You have all inspired me to be a better teacher and father, challenged me to learn above and beyond my current level (which I love to do), and motivated me to be my best in the other aspects of my life. Thank You! I'm going to miss you. Many of you I'll hold dear to my heart forever. I'm excited for your future and anxious to hear of your successful endeavors. Please stay in touch.
Always supporting you,

Mr Crandell

Crazy Storms

Hey guys,
Mrs. Roberts reminded me of a site that helps explain why we get the different types of precipitation that we do (snow, sleet, rain, etc..) check it out on the links list to the left. Maybe we'll see you next week??? We lost power for 36 hours at my house this wweekend. It was scary because of our kids (3yr old and 7 month old). We were able to get to a house with heat and keep everyone safe. But I'm worried again today. Either way, enjoy your unplanned vacations (trapped in your houses). See you soon,
Mr Crandell

Also, Kudos to Katie B. Good call on the storm. Your mom has a reliable source. Maybe we'll see you guys on Tuesday or Wednesady huh?
