Hey Guys,
This upcoming Tuesday (June 5th), Venus will pass between the Sun and Earth. Be checking the web for pictures and info. We will discuss more in class. Give it a look, the next one won't happen in your lifetime! (not until 2117)
Mr Crandell
I saw Venus! Me and my parents and my brother went back to our pond to look at it. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but I found it and it was really cool!!!
Itzyana and Maddi! Very cool huh? I watched it too, but on web. had too much to manage with kids. Glad you saw it. Consider how fast Venus is revolving and how long it takes to cover the Sun's diameter. That's a pretty big Sun, huh?
Hey mr.crandell me and my family were in new jersey over the weekend for a graduation party. And on Saturday we went to the store, and there is a road called gravity road and it was a road coming off the highway the road is at a decline and if you stop the vehical and put it in nuteral it will pull you up instead of rolling down the road!!! Pretty crazy. And my question is like how it does that but I don't really know how to ask it???
My instinct is that it is an optical illusion. meaning, the road looks as though it pitches down when in fact it pitches up. have no other ideas though.

Yes, that's what my brother was saying.
But could there also be some places on earth where gravity can do things like that?
Gravity pulss inward to the earth. Inward, not up or down. the slope of the terrain determines which way inward is. See what I mean?
